Keywords: Getting the materials
Summary: A simple tool to help you manage your inventory of materials and data
With capacity for 'only' 1000 units of materials and 500 of data, your storage can fill up very quickly if you're prospecting for a number of engineering mods. With so many individual types it can be a pain to easily work out which to keep and which to throw away. To make the right decisions you end up looking through your inventory, and cross-referrencing to external sources to try to ensure you keep not only those you need for the job in hand, but those that you may need in the future. It's cumbersome and time-consuming.
Hopefully the linked sheet will be of some use to you. It's simply an aide-memoir to help speed-up this selection process. It should be self-explanatory, but a few worthwhile notes are: 1) You can filter all columns to isolate individual or groups of materials by characteristic, 2) the G3/G4 column helps you keep track of materials that are useful for restoring rep with Engineers after taking favours for special effects, 3) Everything in the 'no uses' column goes straight out of the airlock, 4) the information is as up to date as Inara or EDEngineer allows, but please let me know if you know better or spot any errors.
